PLEASE NOTE: The Cottage shop is now accepting furniture donations. We will schedule a pickup from your home or office on Tuesday/Thursday within a reasonable distance from the shop's location. Call now at 713-328-1957 to make arrangements. Your donations are valuable to The Women's Home resale shop; we appreciate the higher dollar volume that often accompanies home furnishing sales!
The Cottage Shop has been a Houston treasure in the Montrose area since 1971. It serves as job training site for residents, provides a fun shopping experience for the community, and generates 20% of The Home’s operating income. Volunteers and residents staff the store six days a week under the supervision of two professional managers.
The Cottage Shop has a wide selection of new and gently used clothing and accessories, including a Boutique section with high-end designer brands. The store’s inventory of furniture and household goods constantly changes, but items are always well priced. You’re sure to find a bargain and enjoy a memorable customer experience. Plus, it’s a great way to lend support to a great cause.
Want to Help?
We encourage individuals and groups to help stock the Cottage Shop’s shelves by donating gently used clothing, furniture and household goods. We also invite local retail businesses to partner with us and donate their excess inventory. A tax deductible receipt is available upon request.
If you have a flair for retail and would like to help us price, sort and merchandise items, join us at the Cottage Shop. For more information contact Manager Wendy Cook or Assistant Manager Katrina Brown at 713-328-1957.
