While The Home has been very successful in moving women into places to live, the truth is that these women are often still under-housed. Due to rising rental rates, women are increasingly forced into housing situations that are inadequate for someone recovering from substance abuse or dealing with a mental illness. As a result, the progress they have made at The Home is put into jeopardy. Because women have trouble finding adequate housing, The Women’s Home plans to build 87 units of affordable housing with supportive services so that our graduates and other women in our community can have a safe, stable place to live.
