On the evening of Friday, November 12, The Women's Home will honor the special individuals and families that have made the opening of Jane Cizik Garden Place a reality at BLOOM, our 2010 Annual Fundraising Dinner. Our distinguished honorees have served The Home in many different capacities, but their leadership in shaping the growth of our new affordable apartments raises the bar of excellence in the standard of service The Women's Home has provided to the Houston community for the past 53 years.
The ballroom of the InterContinental Houston Hotel will be transformed into a whimsical garden setting as our guests are treated to the five time Grammy and Oscar winning record artist Christopher Cross. The evening will include fine dining and be filled with enchantment only found when entering a secret garden.
After dinner, the party will really blossom to the funky sounds of Austin's own Dysfunkshun Junkshun, a show band guaranteed to thrill with their 70's sounds and disco hits.
Proceeds will benefit the programs of The Women's Home which have helped thousands of area women deal with their mental illness, addiction, and histories of abuse since 1957.
