Carol Mann

Carol Mann, World Golf Hall of Fame member and past national president of the LPGA, is a Houston-based golf professional associated with The Woodlands Country Club. Golf Digest recently named her one of the top teachers in Texas. In 2007, Golf for Women magazine included Carol in its prestigious “Top 50 Teachers” list. Carol won 38 tournaments including two major titles, the 1964 Western Open and the 1965 US Open at Atlantic City Country Club, finished second in more than 30 tournaments, and placed in the top five for 18 straight weeks.

The striking, 6-feet-3 Hall of Famer was under contract to NBC television for seven years as broadcast analyst of the PGA, Champions, and LPGA Tours, and also worked for ABC, ESPN and a host of syndicated golf productions. As an honorary member of the LPGA Teaching and Club Professionals and a member of the PGA of America, Carol received numerous awards for her contributions to women’s golf, women’s sports, education, and career development. She was elected to membership in the International Women’s Sports Hall of Fame, the Collegiate Golf Hall of Fame, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro Athletic Hall of Fame, and selected as one of the “100 Heroes of American Golf” in 1988. Under her tenure as Honorary Chair of the Rice Golf Classic since 1993, more than $500,000 has been raised for women’s athletics at Rice University.
           
Currently, along with Gary Player and Ben Crenshaw, Ms. Mann is a special Ambassador and consultant for the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine, FL

Donna Caponi

Highlights:

  • Inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2001.
  • Current announcer on The Golf Channel, covering the Champions Tour.
  • Finished in the top ten on the money list ten times between 1968 and 1981.
  • Won back to back U.S.Women’s Opens in 1969 and 1970.
  • Twenty-four wins on the LPGA Tour, including four major championships.
  • Assistant captain of the victorious 2005 U.S. Solheim Cup Team.

Betsy King

Highlights:

  • Finished in the top ten on the money list every year from 1984 to 1995.
  • Won 34 titles on the tour, including six major championships.

Angela Stanford

Highlights:

  • Member of victorious Solheim Cup Team in 2007 and played in the 2003 Solheim Cup.
  • Posted 12 top-10 finishes in 24 starts in 2007, finishing 19th leading money winner.
  • Winner of the 2003 ShopRite LPGA Classic.
  • In 2003 was in a three-woman, 18 hole playoff for the U.S.Women’s Open Championship, losing to Hilary Lunke.

Brian Pavlet

National Long Drive Champion

In 1993 the golf world familiarized itself with a new prodigy in Brian Pavlet.  After launching a 435 yard blast in Salt Lake City, Utah in a regional competition, Brian went to the National Long Drive Championship and won it all.  Since winning he has not looked back.  He has made a record eight “Final 8” appearances in the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship and has been the LDA’s most consistent performer the past decade.  He held the #1 ranked position for more than 20 months and was featured in Golf Digest for having one of the best power swings in golf.  Brian has performed more than 800 shows worldwide leaving audiences in amazement.  His engaging personality and performance make him one of golf’s premier showman.
