How to Give A Gift of Time

Our volunteers give more than 30,000 hours of their time annually, and the opportunities to help are as varied as our helpers. They teach classes, provide retail expertise in our thrift shop, and do construction work in our residences, among other things. Members of The Women’s Home Auxiliary coordinate our annual style show luncheon and create gift baskets, boutique items and specialty foods for sale. Volunteers can use their talents and interests to help in our efforts to rebuild women’s lives.

Volunteer Your Expertise

Did you know that our vocational training classes are taught almost completely by volunteers? If you have experience in computer education, budgeting, job search expertise, assertiveness training, communication techniques or any other “life training” skills, we hope you will give the gift of your time and volunteer as an instructor.
