A Plan for Safe,
Affordable Housing

A major challenge for our women who are starting over is finding safe, affordable housing. Many others in our community who have limited income face the same challenge. The Home’s Affordable Housing Task Force has made significant progress toward addressing this challenge. After making site visits to other housing programs, an initial planning document was developed and a plan was presented to the Board of Directors to build an 84-unit complex of small one-bedroom apartments that are affordable for single women, at a cost of approximately $10 million. The Board approved the plan and a site has been identified.
