After eight amazing years, we have decided not to host the Crawfish Boil in 2019.
As you know, The Women’s Home has significantly expanded its programming recently, adding two new campuses in Spring Branch which serve not only women but also their children and families. The opening of our Mabee WholeLife® Service Center has broadened our services in the Spring Branch community.
Additionally, through partnerships with other change-making organizations in Houston, we are now able to offer primary care to adults and children, afterschool programs for children, food and clothing pantries, and so much more. The addition of these new programs means that we have new costs to cover, and that requires a different scale of fundraising than our Crawfish Boil can meet.
With that in mind, we want you to know that we are committed to hosting events that are accessible to our community and are working on something special for Spring 2020. There is also something “cooking” for later this spring. We will need your help, so stay tuned for more details!
In the meantime, we still need your support to continue serving our community together. This year, we hope you will consider continuing your support for The Women’s Home through one of these options:
- Make a donation in support of our mission and programs by check or online
- Become a sponsor for our fall event reNew & reDo: A Triumphant Affair.
- Host a fundraiser benefiting The Women’s Home. Trivia night, jeans day, a golf tournament, the possibilities are endless! If you’d like to learn more about how you can do this, please reach out to us, and we can walk you through it.
